Mullen being exposed this season, average coach good fit where he's at where people think you're a miracle worker if you can average 7 wins.

I don't care who the coach is at Miss St. You are going to have a bad year. He has done a good job there.

Sure but LSU can't hire a coach who just finished last in the same division.

Sure he has, but he doesn't even merit consideration for this job

Mullen is a damn good coach. This season says more about the program he is at. He should have gotten out of there a couple years ago.

That he developed. Everyone talks about how schools "missed" on Dak Prescott. It's easy to say now but maybe he just wasn't THAT good coming out of high school or he would have had everyone clammering to get him and would have gone to a better school. He was considered a 3 star recruit on Rivals and was the 33rd ranked recruit in LA.

ETA: and shocker: you need good players to win games in the SEC

Don't act like he was an Under Armour All American coming out of Haughton. He was the 33rd best prospect in Louisiana. 3 SEC schools were looking at him and at least one of them never took him seriously.

Something happened to him between Haughton and the Cowboys. I'm guessing it was Dan Mullen.

And let's not act like this season comes as a surprise. South Alabama was a surprise. They have a new quarterback and he's god awful.

Mullen would have been a Tier 3/4 candidate at best.

Particularly when much of the criticism of the recently fired coach was his recent inability to finish higher in the SEC west

Miles was coaching an elite program. Mullen is at a traditional bottom feeder
