Mickey Joseph wiffed on Nola kids? Name one. Nola was extremely weak this year and Chase is the main target. Other than that the only players they may “miss” on are Beal and Pooka who LSU didn’t have room for.

I don't know the guy, and I'm certainly not defending him. We don't know his situation, where he wanted to live, what jobs were open at that time, etc.

Perhaps he wanted to get back to the NFL and took what was available?

McMahon is terrible. Saints ST are so much better without him this year.

He was one of the guys along with Vitt that people wanted fired five years ago.

Great question. This is what we really all want to know but never will.

will you geniuses please stop with this stupid statement. If all the eggs were in the Kiffin basket, how did we get any other coach?

Posters like him, Random, DALSU...etc are the main reason LSU can't accomplish anything behind the scenes. They probably cost us Jimbo a couple of years ago. frick them.

Holy shite you actually believe this?

I agree.
But sometimes posters here have inside information. People here would kill to know it.
If it shouldn't be shared then they should keep it under wraps until the appropriate time.

TBL said personal issues may prevent the hire from happening. Doesn’t that indicate Freeze?

Sark’s past of alcoholism, though he may be sober and good now, could also be said personal issues.

I was told O wants another WR coach to help MJ.
How about another WR Coach instead of MJ.

If he needs "Help" then it's obvious what most of us know. He's Dameyune Craig 2.0, that has no clue how to coach or develop WR's at this level.

Just another "Great Recruiter" that can't coach up his position athletes.

Never should've been hired in the first place.

Grimes gone.

Now make it 2 for 2 on my "LSU assistant coaches that are in over their heads and need to be shown the Door" list.................

The WRs love Mickey but on two separate occasions two of our current WRs said they learned more from their respective hs coaches in terms of technique.
Not LSU material. In over his head like Juluke. Our WR's will never develop under this guy. He doesn't need to be moved to another position, he needs to be coaching at a smaller college or at a NOLA high school..........

I think Steve is plan B. If plan A falls through then they say Steve was the hire the whole time

Then O will be signing his own death warrant. If Ensminger becomes perm OC O won't make it past year 3.

Maybe he is an "OK" hire, but this wasn't what the fanbase was sold. We were promised home run hires. If O shits the bed on this hire the fan base is going to turn quickly.

Our schedule next year is brutal, and I don't believe Ensminger has the ability to compete against that type of schedule. 0 points against Bama and losing to Florida with a better team than this year's doesn't make me feel comfortable he will get it done against elite talent next year.

Also, can you give us a timeline on the hire. When should we get an official announcement?

Hey man it is a total shame that MJ could not get a single kid to sign from NoLa. I went back and looked all the way down to #40. And I say the top 40 and there are some NoLa kids in the top 40 so don’t say NoLa was weak. And Mickey Joseph couldn’t sign one kid??????
Chase will probably sign with TCU, and that is uncalled for. If Joseph is canned, I see why.

The only player that has a commutable offer from Nola is Chase. Even if he does go to TCU, how much blame goes to Mickey Joseph? LSU has no OC, O has no overall offensive philosophy.

Does everyone here really think Canada doesn't already have a job lined up. He does. LSU would have stuck with Canada but for his lack of loyalty. He was leaving due to being hand cuffed re: the offense he wanted to run, which was not CEO style. Butting heads is not the reason. That happens all the time. Canada leaving, is his choice. LSU spinning it to look like they are releasing him. This is all negotiated because Canada wants out, so LSU has control.

Canada didn't like the tweaking and is bolting, coupled with clash of personalities. Problem is where he is going. You will find out after Bowl Game. It's concerning. LSU buyout will be minimum. Difference in his new salary re: LSU salary. Which will be less.

CEO gave you all a hint when he mentioned Loyalty, re: Aranda in light of Canada discussion.
