There's no dimension that's O is a better coach than championship winning Les. This is a damn shame, Purdue made a better hire than us

O won't meddle with the offense. That's the only difference. But a big difference.

I agree. I'd welcome back Miles in a heartbeat over Orgeron. I wish I lived in Baton Rouge so bad. I'd be outside the TAF building with a big arse sign and screaming my head off that Alleva needs to be fired.

I'll take 9-10 wins a year. Now we will sit sub .500 for a while. The last time it was 40 years.

You all are crazy! Les could not compete with Arkansas for goodness sake. He sucked as a head coach in recent years. LSU still had enough luster to attract recruits, but we might not have qualified for a bowl with him this year.

O's offenses at Ole Miss didn't rank higher than #105 out of #117. What did "not meddling" get him there?

Y'all need to read some fricking facts before you start your hero worship.

Miles was a stubborn fool who played smash mouth ball in an era of wide open offenses.

I don't like he O hire, think it was a scared move, but he will be light years ahead of CLM.

He admitted that he tried to micromanage at Ole Miss and that it cost him his job. I don't think he'll make that mistake again. I hated Miles as much as anybody, but I'm willing to give O a shot.

Any conversation that states Les Miles should have stayed for over 5 million dollars a year should be a bannable offense. The only positive from this hire for me is that it WASN'T Les Miles or as I like to call him Simple Jack. Are you people fricking kidding me??!! 2011 was a lifetime ago and even that ended with a Miles incompetent arse whooping.

I agree that in no way is Orgeron an upgrade. I can't for the life of me figure out why they would fire Les three months ago and simply have no plan for a new coach but somebody already on staff. And to rely on keeping Aranda who has been here all of one year? This is embarrassing.

But this Arkansas argument is just dumb. Arkansas wasn't half the program this year that they were the last two years. They just lost to a horrific Mizzou team.
