Well, in fairness, we also fired a coach who put up 0 against Bama, too

Bama shut out Saban when he was our coach. Dinardo as well. Law of averages suggest "it happens".

This is basically Les Miles retarded-arse offense that O was left with. The remaining staff has done a remarkable job of putting lipstick on that ugly arse pig, but Alabama's D is just too good.

Well, Auburn, who also has a shitty offense, has put up 6 in the first half.

They've only shut out 2 teams this year, LSU and Kent State.

Has anyone beat them this year?

The OP doesn't say we hired a coach who didn't beat Bama this year. Try to stay on topic.

I mean O was far from my first choice but it's a defense that is a horrible matchup for how our offense was constructed prior to O taking over. Etling also missed quite a few passes that night and the o line got their shite pushed in. I'll at least give O the benefit of the doubt to construct a team.

Try to keep up here. We didn't win. And that's the only thing that matters.

Also no one has kept them under 30 except for us so far. O is a defensive coach, so there is always that.

Well then start another thread. That's not what's being discussed here.

Fair point. O is a defensive coach. So who do we credit for our offensive performances against Mizzou, OM, Arkansas, and A&M?

And had a more Miles performance than Miles in the Florida game.

Our offense isn't totally dysfunctional. I think our offense is what happens when you have a bunch of 4 and 5 stars. Every now and then they look great, but most of the time they look half arse. We need an offensive coordinator that can get them organized and have them resemble a college offense.

Is give ensminger some credit, but its obvious he's just a position coach and not a coordinator.

T H I S!!

Settle down everyone. Les had one, ONE major gaping flaw. He had a hard headed attitude when it came to doing things. It was His way.....He was given every chance to make the changes needed and refused....REFUSED to budge. He was his own worst enemy. Many is the time over the past 4 or so years I've said...If we only had an average HC who would go away from what isn't working and try something new or different, the outcome would be very very different. THAT and the Chavis 'prevent defense' cost LSU probably 10 to 12 games during that period. Calm down and think about it. IF Coach O is just an average head coach then LSU is lightyears ahead of where we have been.

Lets remember, O took Les' system and playbook in the middle of the season and finished with a better record than Les would have, simply because he injected a small amount of unpredictability and some enthusiasm into Les' system. Who could have done more? (seriously, ...who?)

Remember the Championship game with 'Bama.....nothing worked in the first half....and NO adjustments at halftime. Just like running head first into a brick wall and repeating over and over and ....well, you get the idea.

Coach O is the new LSU coach....and until he gives me reasons....I'll support him.

Thanks for the chance to rant and have my say.....all the negativism in my opinion is unwarranted. The decisions I made 10 years ago would be different from those same decisions I would make today......same for O I'm sure.

Let's support our new Head Coach and let him build his own record instead of trying to project what his record will be. He deserves no less....

The title of this post is..We hired a coach who put up zero points against Bama....let's not forget to add...with another coach's playbook.....
