He is a very good OC. But he ultimately wants a head coach job. That's obvious as he has shown interest in Houston and USF. Please LSU hire Sterling Gilbert, Briles,Canada, or Helfrich

That $1.8 will wet Aranda's whistle for a while. And thanks you proved my point.

Why have two great coordinators and have the potential to lose them both.

Let's just worry about Aranda for the short term about getting a HC gig

Yes, let's not hire coaches who have career aspirations...sounds like good logic to me.

Exactly!!! I mean NONE of these four would EVER want to be a head coach.

Huh?

When has Aranda expressed interest in ever being a HC?

Lane has been one and has expressed interest

That's not the point jack asses. Obviously you want a young prove OC who can help LSU immediately, but I would rather have an OC stay for 3-5 years rather then 1 year like Kiffin most likely would do

Let Kiffin coach Etling, Guice, Chark, and Durpe for one year, then go out and hire one of these guys.

The problem is are these mid majors going to hire him. There are 2 possibilities for him if he goes to a mid major. He either flops and gets fired, or he's successful and goes to the first p5 school that offers him. Plus he has the baggage of his last stints as a head coach in which he left all those jobs in a negative way. He won't be cheap to get either. He will get interviews for a bunch of jobs I just find it hard for these schools to pull the trigger to get him.

Briles won't be hired because of baggage and helfrich isn't coming because random said he was a lock.

Canada or Gilbert is fine by me. I'd take Helfrich too, but random gave him the kiss of death.

Even Gilbert or Helfrich? And you call others jackass? Or Briles? Wouldn't mind the playcalling but too damn toxic.

And why are you SO confident he'd be gone in one year? I could certainly see him being here for two.

Canada I'd like.

Don't care if he is here just one year. Need someone to get LSU moxy back. Maybe get a great one after kiffin. Kiffin is just the arrogance LSU needs right now cause Bama all up in the head

The only time you're not going to be in danger of losing top notch coordinators is when they suck. I can't believe you don't want a admitted good OC because he has goals to be a HC again

Aranda's next stop is an NFL DC. Anyone saying otherwise is talking out of their arse.

And Random said that Canada is not even on LSU's radar, so we can probably go ahead and shut down the Coaching Changes board till next year.

Kiffin is obviously not in demand as a head coach. He's getting the cold shoulder from AAC jobs. Why would that change? He's proven he's not a great head coach.

Everyone says he will leave after a year or two. What evidence is there to show he will have an opportunity to do that?

Dude, seriously. Why make this thread? Is this content you think no one has ever said? I'm trying not to be a dick but half these threads on this board are just repeated thoughts by different people on whatever side of the fence they are on and have no real contribution to better of the board. It's exhausting. But alas, I keep clicking the damn coaching changes link.
