Alabama knew its enemy in 2006 and that enemy was LSU. So what did Alabama do, it hired Saban and what did Saban do, he systematically attacked LSU because LSU was THE roadblock to wining the SEC. Now the roles are reversed and LSU is the hunter and Bama is the prey. We know Freeze can put massive points on Bama, we know Dave Aranda is the man on defense, Coach O has already proven he can get the state recruits back from Saban, we just need the administration to step up to the plate and make the call.

Truth. I think being a coordinator for freeze, he can stay out of the spotlight for a bit while revamping himself all the while giving LSU exactly what it needs in offense.

Honestly I think Freeze and Aranda calling plays would have a great chance to put Orgeron in title contention almost immediately.
What other coordinator hire could you honestly say that about? What is the likelihood of having an opportunity like this again? Saban leaving the NFL for Bama comes to mind; it’s a perfect storm. You can have the former Ole Miss HC, an offensive savant that beat Bama multiple times, on staff as your OC? Are you kidding? This is a no brainer!

Freeze has to be O's first choice. The goal is to beat Bama. You beat Bama and everything else falls into place. Freeze has proven he can build offenses that can beat the Bama defense.
