Watching this game makes me want Herman even more.

What's not to love about the man? He goes and checks on his players and makes sure their in their rooms. Has a cocky look on his face. His offense is running at full speed. Him plus Aranda might be enough to get us back to regular national championship contenders year to year. But never know. Geaux Tigers and I'm excited for coach Eaux this weekend.

Yep. If I had to bet, I'd say Herman would win a championship here faster than Fisher.

I wanted Jimbo more for a while. But after seeing Herman coach and watching him do his thing, not to mention the huge upside of his age, I'm a big fan. I think he'll have a little adjustement entering the SEC, but I think he'll get it and start becoming a GREAT head coach.

I agree that hiring Herman would probably be the best we could do.
but I've seen every hiring LSU has done since we hired Chollie Mac back in the sixties. plus, I've followed many, many hires by other big programs like texas, notre dame, bama, etc, etc.
hiring can get complicated as hell and rarely does a school actually get who their target is. bama got saban and only because he wasn't happy in the nfl and Michigan got Harbaugh (lucky because he was about to be canned). the VAST MAJORITY of the time, it takes several candidates until the situation fits. believe me, Fisher would be tough to hire. his divorce muddles it up big time. just about every coach has some issue so we'll see. fortunately we're first and there is a lot of good talent out there.

He knows he can run into the middle of this D with his best RB out. So he's adapted to other ways of getting his guys the ball on high percentage plays. So yeah

And against a tough Connecticut team....

I'm a Fisher guy. There would be no drop off in recruiting and the guy can flat out coach a QB up. The main thing that worries me about Herman is when Texas has a vacancy....who will he choose?

If Tom Herman is the guy it looks like QBs like McMillian and Scott are the type of guys to run his offense.

If LSU has to compete with Texas this year, we probably finish second. If Herman is already at LSU and TX calls, I think he stays.

Look at the energy they have on the sidelines the WHOLE game, no matter the score. Not letting up a bit

I'm not so sure this offense I'm looking at tonight would work in the SEC. That's an 8 game SEC grind and the DC's sniff that bubble stuff out. I'm sure with an awesome tailback it would look more like the one he coached up at Ohio State. I don't know. I like Herman though. I don't think he's a one trick pony. Seems like the type of coach that builds his offense around what his players do best.

After watching the game, it seems like Hermans QBs will take a beating. Going to need big bodied guys like Newton, Jones and Prescott to make it work in the SEC IMO. It was mighty refreshing to hear a coach admit he knew his team wasn't going to have success running up the middle and had to win on the perimeter. Game plan worked well, but will it translate to the SEC is the question
