I'll say it again. We need a new coach, not a vintage one. I do not want Jimbo.

Jimbo needs to relinquish the play-calling and bring in an OC

Then he’s just another CEO type coach overseeing a program. I thought we wanted a hands on expert on one side of the ball?

Yup. Any candidate would have improved from the past two years. We’ll win 9-10, but I don’t see a natty in the future.

While I think Jimbo does need to update his offense, he is doing all of this with a below average back up QB. I'm not going to lie. I think heading back to physical football may be the way to go. With all of these teams running the spread, the physical football teams that play good defense are going to be the ones that stand out moving forward.

I will give you this. The positive with Jimbo is the same as with Napier — they build their teams from the inside out & not the other way around.

That said, physical football is not mutually exclusive from utilizing a dynamic offensive playbook.

There is a lot to be said about running a ground and pound offense and having a solid D. It's tough to have a super physical defense when you don't see tough running everyday at practice. Bama is a prime example. They are more physical than most based on talent alone. Guess who beat them up front this year. Jimbo.

Just looking at college coaches Jimbo is about the most proven one out there. Watching his offense today was bland. Would his offense look better with a Max Johnson at the helm?

What the score was at 00:00? And who was the winner? You made it through Les and your got a CHIP right? Put Les on steroids and you get 5 CHIPS in 10 years with Jimbo!

I watched his offense today and it's not really bland it's more ball controlled.

It would actually work quite well at lsu.

I go back and forth on jimbo and his offense.

Jimbo

Yeah this is almost the hall of shame. Jimbos offense is very plodding.
