What did we wind up with? 28-21 Ok. St. coach Les Miles who got drummed in his bowl game by Ohio St.

So, the arrogance of fans that say lsu can do better than this guy or that guy is absurd/fanatical if you will.

There is only one home run target that has been named. That is Jimbo Fisher. He's the only guy that has taken over a program and built it to a National Champion and Playoff contender. Now, If Jimbo winds up saying no, everyone else is a crap shoot.

You can want this guy over that guy. At the end of the day, they are all as big a risk as the one you believe is a failure. I'm not a lets hire Ogeron guy. With that said, I'm tired of the bashing he's receiving like he's some dumb coonass that has no knowledge or skill set whatsoever.

If it was up to you guys, the greatest pro-coach of our time would not be coaching the n.e. patriots. He had failed at Cleveland. You wouldn't have considered him. He's not the only one who failed only to succeed. Dungy, Kubiak, Caughlin just to name a few over recent memory.

I'm thankful Ogeron has been here to salvage this season and make it enjoyable. I wait to long for it to be over in the first couple of weeks. The last thing i'm going to do is spew garbage about the guy. I'm going to give him a chance, He's giving us a new beginning and a breathe of fresh air.

I don't want to lose him either. If he isn't the head coach, I think he brings tremendous value as d-line coach and recruiter. he's definately improving our d line to where it was when we have had our best defenses. A dominant d line makes everyone on the defense better. It may be as important as the qb position. you can win a lot of games with average or below average qb play. Not many with average to below average d-line play.

I'm all for letting the season play out. Let's see how all these guys finish and see who the best option available is. I think if we are patient, it will be pretty clear. Let's enjoy the season. I know one thing, whomever is named, there will be plenty of bitching.

The whole bill b and Pete Carroll comparisons need to stop.... you know damn well those are horrid examples. They were still highly regarded defensive minds, O is not

Timing was a tad important no? Florida had already hired Meyer and Spurrier was snagged by SC.

That was the highest winning % any OK St. had since the 1940s (Coaches that lasted more than a year) That would include Jimmy Johnson.

TL;DR

The answer is probably it in your rambling about coach O.

The answer is Saban leaving about a month after Urban and Spurrior got jobs.

Florida and ND. LSU waited too long to make a move. Now they're being outbid.
