USM wasn’t Brennan’s only option.

I loved when people said he had enrolled and was taking classes there.

If LSU hires Denbrock, there won’t be a QB coach in the building.

Kelly will have to hire somebody to fill that role.

I’m curious what you mean here. Are you saying that Peetz isn’t a legitimate QB coach despite his NFL experience in that role and Kelly will need to go outside the building to find one? Or are you saying that Denbrock isn’t a QB coach so someone else will need to fill that role, which could be Peetz?

This one. I highly doubt it will be Peetz seeing as BK has removed much of the staff.. but I’ve given up on trying to figure out what Kelly is going to do.

LSU will need a QB coach though.

Okay, that’s what I was thinking you probably meant. If the rumors of Kelly taking a liking to Peetz are true, I could see him keeping Peetz on as QB coach. In that case, I could only assume he likes some of the concepts Brady and Peetz brought to LSU and wants to integrate those into his system. Peetz and Denbrock could operate similar to Brady and Ensminger in that regard, though I highly doubt they would split play calling duties. Of course all of that assumes the rumors about both Peetz and Denbrock are true.

Since GVSU and CMU. He’s always had a modern offense even by todays standards. I’ve seen him do some alien shite when he was at cmu. I went to GVSU and lived in MP where cmu is located. I’ve seen lots of Kelly teams and he’s always had a modern approach.

I'm thinking Kelly wants to handle QB development.

“modern” offense

Most overrated concept of all time.

The "modern" route reading that Brady brought to LSU is based on the same concepts that were developed in the 50s and lead to the Run and Shoot in the 80s.

The "modern" zone read is based on the concept of veer option developed in the 60s combined with zone blocking that really started to evolve in the 80s.

The "modern" spread offense, including 5 WR's was in play at TCU in the 50s

None of this stuff is "new" or "modern".

What is new and modern are the new rules that protect the QB and penalize defense that encourage people to throw the ball downfield and whine about not getting pass interference every play.

I will say, Brian Kelly seems like a pretty smart guy and a good coach. If he thinks Peetz is worth keeping around, I'll just trust him until it's proven otherwise.

Possible WR Coach. (Possible, not probable)

I’m sure he is a good position coach. I just don’t think he was ready to be OC, especially at such a dysfunctional program like LSU under O. It was not a good alignment. It is very hard to blame anyone under O because almost everyone looked bad. At that point, it’s on the leadership aka the top dog

i think peetz was in over his head with play calling duties,

I think you may have thought differently if you listened to Coach O's radio shows. Every week he let slip how controlling he was with play calling.

Peetz just needs some time running an offense. Coming in to the SEC with no experience calling plays and little to no help running an offensive unit was not putting the team or him in a position to succeed.

Oh really? Max WAY overachieved. Well enough to get a spot at aTm.

Max got a spot at A&M because of his brother. He most definitely underachieved this season.
