So much tension here as to who Coach O will hire as DC, but it’s LSU players and O who are probably feeling it the most. A home run hire highlights their abilities, improves their draft stock, lessens the transfers and protects the one job Orgeron claims to value most. With all that in mind, after signing Burrow and Brady, I keep thinking Orgeron knows what he has to do.

Gamble on a lesser known coach like Brady was? Maybe, it seems he has already with LSU’s new OC, a worthy gamble IMO. And making it known that you’re all in for the hottest college DC certainly was. Regardless of the new DC hire, Orgeron along with those attending spring and fall practices will know then if it’s a home run, most likely not until. So after a DC is named, we probably need to just chill, still have some waiting to do.

Thank you, I am! We’re not going to know how big a hit the hire is until practices anyway. That’ll start in about 5 weeks.

It’ll be Raymond.

He didn’t have a back up plan.

O’s biggest decision was taking in a Heisman, championship winning QB.

You guys are way too dramatic around here.

You’re completely talking out of your arse and you have no idea what his plans were.

True! I’d say after signing Burrow and hiring Brady this is definitely his next biggest decision as LSU’s head coach, especially after the Pelini hire. LSU’s offense didn’t need much more coaching, the defense does.

Posting this doesn’t prove your theory, and that’s all it is, a very weak one!

Still won't know then. Coach O will say the D is so good even if it isn't.

That’s a ridiculous statement.

There will be plenty of watchful eyes attending practices, just hope many are not as silent as last year and the year before. Burrow was lighting up LSU’s vaunted defense in 2019 spring practices, sadly we didn’t hear much about that.

How so? The only thing LSU’s offense really lacked was a running game to keep defenses honest. With two top ten running backs signed, that shouldn’t be a problem.

Ed and Scott are having differences of opinion.

I think O knows who he wants, but W is saying no.

"Hey Ed, your choice is too Caucasian. Pick somebody else that is less Caucasian."

Bet your arse, that's the delay.

If Scott demands that type of hire, who limited the salary of Freeman to $2,200,000? if Pelini was paid $3 million?

Pelini was 2.3. Do you just make up numbers? Like you said they were giving Peetz 3 mil?
