Agreed, it's not. That's why if Riley is thinking rationally about maximizing his success he'll come to LSU. Will never win a championship, SEC or NC once they make the swtich.

I love the OU guys who think this is impossible. If I were a Sooner, the last thing I'd want is Scott Woodward nosing around my university with money burning a hole in his pocket.

not at all. Dalsu was saying Jimbo was a done deal blah blah blah. It was entertaining but he was obviously not an insider. TBL, on the other hand, called O getting hired (with details we later learned were accurate) before anyone else on this board knew.

I agree with you. OU never really had to fend anybody off to keep Stoops. That was a different time in college football. The revenue disparity between the Big 12 and SEC, plus the money being the thrown around in the sport generally, means that nobody is safe.
ATM has been in the SEC for a decade now and knows this, hence raising Jimbo to $9.5 million before the season (and I’m sure they could go higher if they had to). OU does not get it. I think Riley is absolutely there for the taking. I think he only averages about $7 million per year under his current contract. Woodward can get him for $11-12 million.

Jimbo was locked in after Miles was fired in 2015. The problem was the governor wouldn't let Miles be fired. Every person involved has since confirmed that.

What's delusional is that some think if they argue hard enough for their guy then it will all come true.
I feel Scott Woodard will get the best guy to come here that he can persuade to join LSU. And because we are in the middle of the season we probably won't hear who it is until the middle of December at the earliest.

Yeah except dalsu said that it was a done deal and how he knew because he worked in the law office that filed the paperwork, which was obviously bullshite. Jimbo may have been "locked in" but it was never a done deal and no paperwork ever came across dalsu's desk.
