He seemed to have completely checked out the last few years.

Felt like a David Shaw situation. Guy who had undeniable success, but it was time to go.

He had a solid run. Would have been interesting to see what he could have done at Arizona if the idiot AD didn't listen to Kahlil Tate

Must have a change in Brass and he wants to hire his own coach. No reason to fire this guy. He has done a very good job at a school that is probably the most difficult to win at.

The three straight losing seasons were at peak AAC.

Competition was about to take a big step down with UCF Houston and Cincinnati leaving for the Big 12.

I think falling behind Monken at is the biggest thing that did him in. Army has won 5 out of 7.

Air Force has also won 6 out of 9 against Navy.

Our recruiting would plummet off a cliff, but for one year it would be the most feared offense in college football history.

This. The games against the other academies are really the only measuring stick these coaches are judged by.

Eh, Navy has been pretty bad the last three seasons, and has been pointed out, his record against Army and Air Force hasn't been good lately.

The service academies are obviously not easy jobs, and he had a great run in Annapolis, but his recent record would get anyone canned in that position.

As a Navy alum, Good Riddance. The last 5 years have been embarrassing.

fans are saying he was done dirty and he is the winningest coach of all Navy time. Well he is also the losingest coach of all Navy time. Ranked 16 out of 29 in win percentage.

Probably didn’t deserve to be fired in the locker room after the game.
