Well if your prediction does come true, I don't see how it would be a "ball".

If Tennessee does well would'nt that help LSU?? God forbid us give Saban an SEC loss every once and while, and make recruiting harder on Bama, UF and UGA.

Willie Martinez may be a solid DC, but they've given up more points each year since Brian VanGorder left.

They allegedly had 19 season ending injuries this year or something like that and that's not normal. Maybe their strength and conditioning program blows.

this statement alone shows the true delusion of your fanbase.

Even if you don't agree with his/or her statement that Monte is an elite DC in the NFL,

As of last year, Kiffin's defense has finished in the Top 10 in passing defense 10 times in 12 seasons, and in the top 10 in points allowed in 11 of the 12 seasons he spent as the Buccaneers' DC.

It wouldn't be if Kiffin wasn't so cocky.

I don't see that happening very soon.

honestly. i wouldn't. for the reasons i've stated numerous times.

where was kiffin before he was hired by dungy? what has he done since then that has been so ground breaking? he has been on cruise control and landed the best job of his career. before that he was all over the place. a coach passed that much tells a story.

he hasn't had to really teach a system to teenagers the past decade.

He isn't overrated. He isn't going to get them a National Championship though most likely.

Either way, six 10+ win seasons, two SEC Championships, & two BCS Bowl wins in eight years isn't overrated.

Especially when you reach back before Richt from 1980-1997, they only had six 10+ win seasons.

What ground breaking thing did Chavis do before Tennessee?

Monte said yesterday, 'football is football'. He said he was talking to Pete Carroll about the transition from the NFL to College, and was talking about he wouldn't have trouble coaching 18-22 year olds because he has coached guys like Gaines Adams who came out of college at 20 years old. He isn't just bringing the Tampa 2, and dumping it on his players. He'll have to adjust & do other things.

Kevin Carter, one of his players in Tampa, said this...

No matter, said Bucs' defensive end Kevin Carter, who even went so far as to suggest that the legendary Kiffin might be a better fit in college - recruiting and all - thanks to his enthusiasm.

"He might," Carter said. "The kind of 'rah rah' type attitude, the college enthusiasm that we (the Bucs) play with and that we have, it's uncommon in the NFL and he's kept it here for a long time.

Monte is an elite NFL DC, but not a top 10 all time DC much less the best ever like some of you have said.

He was smart enough to apparently hire Rodney Garner back to UT...Garner is supposed to announce today at noon...

what position will Garner pretend to coach now since Bebe already has Dline? Those 2 should give Saban hell on the trail.

'll take Matt Leinart & Reggie Bush's OC & Monte Kiffins defense all day long.
You still have yet to find and develop a Reggie and a Matt and from what I have seen they won't be going to UT anytime soon. Mike Hamilton needs to make this work though because he will be shoved out the door with Kiffin if it fails.

No they didn't. Remember the lateral and the 4th and short. Who put White in instead of Bush, who was running wild up to that point? Kiffin and the Offense lost that title.
