......according to Nick Saban's agent. There's no doubt that Texas along with several other teams will "reach out to Saban." At the end of the day, Alabama is about to write a big F'n check!

They would have been foolish not to at least call. Quite a steep drop off from Saban to Sarkisian, though.

Saban is a douche. We just got rid of Kiffin. I want to win as much as anyone, but I'm not a Saban fan.

I'm not sure how Saban spit in your cereal but he's the most driven individual I've ever been around; ever.

He's all business in public, and highly successful. I'm not sure what there is to dislike.

This, seriously. Why would any big time program not at least make the call?

Perhaps my response was too crass. My perception of him comes from what I see of his persona on TV, and in written media. That perception leads me to believe that he would be a poor fit at USC.
I do respect his system, and his ability to coach, but in my opinion, Alabama is the best place for him.

Saban is one of those assholes everyone tolerates because he's one of the best at what he does.

Kiffin is just an a-hole.

Not sure why it's funny that USC reached out to Saban. I'd consider USC's AD borderline negligent if he didn't at least test the waters on interest.

The vast majority of high achievers aren't dripping sweet, and some have superficial charm that hides their a-hole personality.

If you want a drinking buddy check the bar, not the Head Coaches office.

If your name is out there for multiple openings you can bet it's Sexton putting it out there.

Saban getting antsy.
He can say what he wants, but after this past weekend, never say never or at a minimum he will get compensated at Bama and anything less than a national title will be a failure.

Pete Carroll was their 5th choice as well. Turned out pretty darn good for them.

Pete Carroll was also a modestly successful head coach in the NFL before arriving in Southern California in 2001.

Saban is an a-hole but wins big and has rings. Kiffin is an a-hole with absolutely nothing to show for it and no reason to be.
