I've said before I wouldn't put anything past a coach these days. RR also said he'd never leave WVU and then he had his agent get in contact with UofM (which apparently a lot of our fans have forgotten). Would Tennessee be a downgrade from UofM? Depends on who you talk to, but I could see him being a lot more successful there than he is here.

do you just fricking ignore me? I had to wiki it and they went 4-8, but that dude did turn Jon Stinchcomb into the best tackle since ANthony Munoz.

Yeah, it's a downgrade, but better getting a 5 year contract with a fresh start in the SEC than getting fired next season at UM.

The only reason RR still has a job is because UM doesn't act hastily. At most schools he would have been fired, and not just because of the W/L record, but because he's pissed off everyone and gotten the NCAA involved.

Rich Rodriguez is a terrible fit for UM. He would be very good at UT though and the Wolverines can get one of their own to help reestablish the program.

I'm not really sure how Les even got brought into this since I was talking about RR's propensity to say one thing and do another.

when I think of RR, I think of Michigan, where Les should have gone in 07.

When I think of RR, I think of Alabama, which is where he should have gone in 06.

so those 2 are forever linked.

Les would be the obvious choice to resurrect the Michigan program.

drizz-

I think things could be a lot different had he come in and not completely overhauled the system. That is what really pissed people off. Yeah, we were looking for something different, but if you don't have the players to fit your scheme you don't just say oh well and do it anyway. That was his biggest mistake imo.

you can also link RR's choke job vs Pitt to Les accidentally being considered a decent coach for a year or so

Stay away from da Hat. You can't have his guaranteed ten wins a year.

I was on the Michigan campus yesterday. I didn't see RR. Surely someone can create a credible rumor based on those two factoids.
