I was a supporter of the Miles firing. I was just hoping it happened at the end of the '15 season. Herman or Fisher would be at LSU right now.

I highly doubt UT/Oregon will be paying Herman much more than 6.5 if that which is what we're supposedly already going to be giving to Jimbo. Admin needs to stop being idiots and at least try for Herman.

you have no clue what a coaching search is. the reality is you may have a plan but in almost all circumstances the play doesn't work out. there's many reasons for this but you have to realize that LSU (or any school) has to deal with the coaches agents. agents sole purpose is to maximize their clients income. the HC himself may instruct his agent to negotiate with a school if the HC has a high interest level. BUT what you obviously don't realize is that the HC may he pretty happy where he is and he KNOWS if he is secure or not. if he's happy and secure, what do we have to offer? we can up the ante but there is a limit as his present employer can match that if the school and their booster club want to keep him.

All along I've felt Jimbo was a done deal and has been for a while.
But for some reason the last few days it's almost too quiet with LSU/Herman seemingly dead.... I think it may be Herman and the gentleman's agreement rumor way back might have some merit.

unrealistic.... no one is going to seriously negotiate while the regular season is going on. if there is anything decided it won't come out until after conf champ week
