Any word on Gundy or Holgorsen? Both names have been mentioned.

ETA: And is O completely out of the picture now?

It really blows my mind why people hate on Fedora

Fedora was only at Southern Miss for a couple of years, he racked up a huge season and then bolted. They went 0-12 the season after he left. I don't care if USM would have hired Curley Hallman back, nobody is that bad of a coach to go 0-12 with a good roster. Fedora left USM completely depleted.

It was really stuid that these final two games meant anything regarding Coach O. If LSU HAD A PLAN WHEN IT FIRED MILES THEN IT DOESNT GET THIS FAR. Zero leadership!!!!!!!!!!!

Wtf are u talking about? Most sensible people believe that O was only a consideration if things fell apart

I have always liked Fedora. Won at USM, winning at UNC. Jimbo is home run hire, but Fedora is no slouch.

Fedora isn't bad, but I don't think he'll show up at LSU and be able to beat Saban.

Mike McIntyre (Colorado) on the other hand, is a very intriguing candidate, IMO...

And bust could be Larry Fedora
i would be pretty fricking miserable if it was fedora. he doesnt fit LSU in any way, recruiting would fall apart over night, we'd be texas am.

Anyone who would want Larry Fedora should just stop supporting LSU.

It would be a national embarrassment.

Chicken, honest question? Why was the airport thread whacked versus a thread like this? I know you get to get some of theses guys behind the scene but what made one allowable versus the other?

You posted the following almost a week ago -

Jimbo hasn't signed anything nor has he verbally agreed. The job HAS been offered to him and the ball is in his court. I've said it for a little while now, the job is his if he wants it

It seems from your recent post that not much has changed, at least with what you're being told.

Do you get a sense that your sources might be intentionally withholding information from you?

A guy that everyone thought was a good DC in the SEC. I think he came from South Carolina, with Spurrier. Let me look it up.

Jimbo is not a home run. Not even close.

We should at least gauge Herman's interest as a backup to Jimbo. What if he thinks LSU is the best job?

I'm not trying to question you Random, but I honestly don't see much of a difference between a bidding war for Herman and the money we'd have to pay Fisher to get him here.
