Do you honestly think O will let a new OC have full control after he didn't let Canada have control? Personally I don't think he can get any proven OC to work for him now. But we will see.

Edit: sorry, just saw it's already been discussed

Canada had control most of the time. Obviously, Orgeron stepped on his toes in the middle of the year, but this was Canada's offense.

Bump. Let's keep it going today. If for no other reason, I need hope after that Citrus abortion yesterday.

I think the only reason O lost faith in Canada and got involved with the offense because it had looked like hot dog shite the previous weeks.

To answer your question: if the new coordinator comes in and is scoring points, then no.
If the new guy isn't doing well then probably yes.

You are disconnected and ignorant of the college or pro coaching business. It is common for HC and Coordinators to come and go, and for HC's and OC's or DC's to not get along or agree with performance or strategy. We pay the best in the business, and LSU is a good OC job. Your logic and perception is way off.

Sure it did. If someone else was calling the plays, they were calling from the Canada playbook.

Mmmm... "common for coordinators to come and go." Depends upon the context. Here's our context: LSU makes underwhelming hire of defensive line coach as head coach. Said defensive line coach promises to hire the very best coordinators. Hires Matt Canada at somewhat great fanfare and at a high cost. Now decides after one short year, Canada isn't the guy. Resulting in LSU, a school, a state with financial issues, to pay yet another coach not to coach. Not a good gumbo mix, chief.

Lol funniest shite I've read today. A proven OC will want FULL control. He gets blamed when things don't work and gets fired. Read the last weeks of RANT comments, they range from O meddling to Canada's is smoke and mirrors, to Danny Etling's play. The DC should not have shite to say about the OC. (See Chavis's BS) LSU is not a pro team so you are the delusional one. No one gives one shite about the pro game here. O crapped his pants and blamed every thing possible except his failure to keep players that could have helped This Year and not recruit JC players to help fill the gaps on the OL. He admitted to stepping in before the Troy debacle with the offense. LSU will have to put up huge OC salary to compensate for Coach O's mis-steps. If he pushes for Ensminger and gets him he must win big this year or he will be replaced before the 2019 season.

You are apparently dense and unfocused. My comment was that it is common for OC's and DC's to come and go in programs both college and pro, and you missed the point. You and people like you are out of your minds, flipping out,and not well informed that O wanting to get rid of an arrogant and underperforming OC is like the world is on fire. It is NOT. BTW, do you have a read on how the other coaches on the staff like working with Canada? I hear that he is not well liked by the offensive or defensive staff and many players.

I don't support Coach Ensminger as the full time OC. I don't think he's at a place in his career where he should take on such a demanding job. There are a number of other reasons that would make it a bad hire as far as I'm concerned. OTHO, I think he did a good job last year given the circumstances. I also think he made some personal sacrifices to be the interim OC last season. Consequently, I'm tired of everyone crapping on him now because posters on TD have already decided he's going to be the full time OC next year. There's no substantive information that says either he or CEO want Coach Ensminger as the full time OC. If you do have reliable info from good sources (info from a friend whose cousin knows someone who is a pool boy for someone who has "insider" info), please share it.

Happily. At least at Baylor when he had a great qb, Briles ran an air raid offense a la Oklahoma. Like Oklahoma, it also incorporated power running concepts. Good for a pocket passer like Brennan and big wideouts like Sullivan and Davis. The personnel we have in place is NOT unlike Baylor 2014-15. At FAU, he runs more of a power spread option since they're QB isn't as arvanced of a passer. The guy knows spread football through and through. I expect something more like Baylor.
