...tonight was reporting Tubbs interested in LSU. There is a show called the Blitz that comes on every Sunday night with sportswriters from the B'ham News and a news sports personality. They said that they think Tubby and his staff would have been 12-0 with this LSU team this year. Just passing it along.

that is probably true.

I used to be against TT. Hated his guts. REALLY hated it. After 2001, I wanted to whip his arse.

I've mellowed. WEnt 12-0 in SEC. THAT is hard as hell to do. Keeps sending players to pros. Never got on probation with Bama, MSU, and ARkansas looking to turn him on.

He wins here, people would shut up.

if he can recruit as well as he does in a state where he has to split with another major school, imagine what he could do at lsu w/ no comparable football school in the state

First 2-3 years I give him a pass as Bowden didn't recruit well at all.

I'd say the last 5 years he has been hitting his stride.

That one time was when he had a talented team. I still believe LSU had more talent in 04.

TT has never had a tremendous amount of talent to coach, I would love to see what he could do with the athletes we have.

I posted earlier this year a WSJ article that rated programs by how they sent players to the pros. Auburn ranked 7th, one notch above us.

Meaning he is taking lesser recruited classes and coaching them up. That is NOT a bad thing you know.

Tuberville is an excellent coach. I know we all love to hate the man... cigars and such... but he is a hell of a coach. With the recruiting monopoly in Louisiana, he would do some real damage in the SEC and probably get the NC that he could never get at Auburn. He knows this. I'd be willing to bet that if Les does leave, Tubberville would bolt to LSU in a heartbeat. But I am personally doubtful that Michigan will offer Les. We'll see in time.

Personally, I don't want a guy (even one who is winning) who tells players to chop block a kid and end his career. *shrugs*

Besides, haven't we had enough of the "only way I'm leaving is in a pine box", "how many times do I have to say it, I will not be the next head coach at Alabama" guys?

How do you know he made the kid chop block dorsey? Were you there on the sidelines and ear him order the hit? If not then shut the hell up. The kid was getting his arse kicked all game long and probably did it out of frustration for dorsey kicing his arse all over the field. TT is a great coach who does not get all the big names because he has to share with bama. He coaches these kids up and has them playing great. Look around the nfl and you will see plenty of auburn players there. He is a proven winner and just think what he could do with all the talent that we have.

My cousin is good friends with Steve Ensminger, and there is no doubt that Tubs was interested each of the last two times the LSU job came open, and has always coveted this job.

Outside of Saban's two SEC crowns and one BCS title, Tubs with an unbeaten season, a 4-2 mark over the West's most celebrated HC in CNS, and proven to be an expert in the West with two winning stops as HC, also with an ability to beat UF his fair share..

TT is a top-flight HC..but has an iron-clad 6M buyout..Jacobs and Lowder have TT locked down.
