Tiger75- first off, I was on the rant longer than you, & secondly, what the f**k is your problem?? Obviously I am looking at things a little more realistic, or I see the 'big picture' more than your shallow brain can comprehend...

What's more unfair:

1) The SEC not giving a Black man a chance?

2) Turner Gill not giving a Sista a chance?

You should do your homework. In the 3 seasons before Gill took over, Buffalo won 4 games. In Gill's first 3 seasons, they have won 15. This is 375% improvement. They went from never winning a game to winning the MAC.

How is Chizik, a guy that has never won anything at all, a better choice???

This seems too bizarre of a story to be true... so it must be.

I am not defending the Chizik pick either, but we are talking about Buffalo...not exactly a big time team/conference, that is a far cry from the SEC. I think Gill needs to go to a 'higher' school for 2-4 years, & then if he can continue to show an upswing with that program or team, then he would probably be ready for the big time jump to the SEC. Buffalo isn't even near an Iowa St., which at least is in a major conference.

Winning at Buffalo is harder than losing 19 games at Iowa State in 2 years. Gill's team have steadily improved. The guy they hired got worse. At least with Gill there was a chance Auburn would have had some success.

In spite of the Germans, I thought this would be worth reviewing when trying to figure out exactly why Auburn does the stupid shite it does:

I think it's naive of people to think that wouldn't be a factor.

Who is available that would be better than Gill that would be a realistic choice? If I was a solid coaching candidate that can command $4m a year there is no way I would go to Auburn - the boosters make Auburn working environment like the raiders or the cowboys of the NCAA, with the prestige of the Rams.

Yes...screw Gill...I am jealous
damn I need a trophy wife too - lol

Gill was doing a very good job at Buffalo, with the ability to recruit and he has contacts. He is on the way up, while the coach hired ?????
5-19 record.....

this is why he was hired..........

When Chizik was the defensive coordinator at Auburn in 2004, the Tigers went 13-0 and the next year he went to Texas. With him as defensive coordinator, the Longhorns also went 13-0 and won the national championship.

now, how will that translate to HC ???????

I believe there could be great validity to this. Especially in the South with very wealthy southern gentlmen pulling the strings in places like Auburn.

Maybe Gill will be the new HC at Iowa State. Iowa State has a similar record as Buffalo prior to Gill.
