Here is a YouTube of Tulsa's offensive plays from that season...

Not saying he is the man for LSU, but definitely worth a look...

He fits a lot of criteria that O wants. I Just wander if he's proven enough to rebuild the Lsu offense. I wouldn't hate the hire though

I'm not saying Gilbert wouldn't be a good hire, and I've mentioned this on another thread, but he was the OC in name only there. Philip Montgomery called the plays (was HC, came from being OC at Baylor under Briles). I'm sure Gilbert had input on play scheme etc. but it was Montgomery's show there.

Let's NOT hire a coach because he had success against Oklahoma, okay?

The last time he did that, we found that was not the whole story.

That's an offense tailor made for Brennan.

well, is this an assumption on your part? would you say the same about Applewhite and Herman the past two years...I know for a fact that Applewhite called the played (with occasional override from Herman...moreso in 2015 than 2016).

I live in Tulsa..

The offensive scheme run by TU and UT (ironically) are pretty solid.

But Phillip Montgomery is running that machine. Tulsa actually improved from last season.

Regardless, I would be happy to have Sterling on board. What everyone looks past is how well RB's do in their system

Here's some stats from 2016 alone...

UT- Foreman: 2028 15 TD
Tulsa- Flanders: 1529 17 TD
Tulsa- Brewer: 1320 7 TD

Am I the first to ask why you keep posting information on Gilbert?

Am I the first to infer he'll be the next OC of LSU?

You're right. Gilbert is solid but Coach Montgomery is on a whole other level when it comes to play calling

I researched him. The only negative i found was his fanbase. Of course there were those that want him gone. But does'nt that happen everywhere. The videos i saw, he works well with his players. I agree that he needs consideration. I say hire him. He treats every player as a personal developement project and no one complains about running and quarterback developement.
