This, I can believe. Is there an agreement amongst the 2 to be the fallback guy if SW strikes out on his target? Is Jimbo 2nd, 3rd or 4th on the list?

2nd. If you read the OP closely it hints that Riley was #1 and offered but they think he just wants a raise at OU. Thus Jimbo seems to be front runner if that is indeed true.

From a very reliable “Sauce”, Jimbo loves Texas. A lot of lies about him being at Odds with the administration on this board. It will take Woody going back to college station for the two of them to work together again.

Jimbo is a snake man, don’t want. Always looking for more money, greener pastures. Too old, all about Jimbo attitude, just don’t like that hire

There is not a single A&M person (reliable or not) that will have an inkling of Jimbo's thinking until he hears it on the news.
And if Woodward didn't "fall in love" with Texas, Jimbo hasn't either. He applied for LSU in '04, again in '15. Third time is always the charm.

You created an alter today, and all 3 of your posts are shitting on Jimbo. No one believes you.

Legitimately not trolling at all here, just telling you something I heard that I actually believe. This guy could call Jimbo right now on a Friday night at 10:30 and he would answer the phone. Last time I was at their ranch a couple years ago, came back from an evening hunt, Rick Perry & an A&M board member were drinking beer at the house.
I sent him a message today and asked him if he was nervous about Jimbo and he said "Not at all, Lincoln Riley to LSU is pretty much a done deal."
I could also see Jimbo stating this to get the prying boosters off his back. I’d imagine he is getting asked about the LSU job from lots of folks close to the Aggie program. He can get some breathing room by saying “Don’t worry, they are hiring Lincoln Riley”. Then once the season is over and Riley inevitably stays at OU, he can bolt.

I’ve heard the exact opposite directly from Jimbo’s own mouth. He does not like the admin at A&M one bit. He loves the money and his new ranch a lot, but outside of that he doesn’t have the greatest relationship with a lot of those people. That’s not a “source”, that’s coming from the horse’s mouth

Hoping for Riley but I’m convinced it’s Jimbo

Will Jimbo ever delegate offensive responsibilities and would Elko come with him?
Posted on 10/30/21 at 12:55 pm to whitefoot
It’s something that will be discussed. He will never give them up entirely I can assure you of that, but bringing in someone like a Brady to inject some life into his offensive philosophy would be much needed IMO. And I can see A&M offering Elko the job if Jimbo leaves

See part of the allure of Jimbo is the defense they have and that's all Elko. You lose him and you have to hope Jimbo can find someone that can produce similar results.

This is more of what I was thinking.
I know it'll never happen, but I could see a guy like Peetz working well with him. Say what you want about Peetz, but the passing concepts we run are pretty decent. Combine that with Jimbo's steadier play calling and tougher running game and I could see that working well.
Again, I know Peetz isn't going to be the guy, but someone like him.

Why don’t you go argue with the guys in the other thread who claim to know him personally.
It’s comical you’re trying to convince yourself you know anything, and pathetic you’re sharing your made up lies to people who know you’re full of shite.
Next time you make an alter, don’t claim you don’t care, alters care, thus their alter creation. Stupid.
