Trace Armstrong's clients include...

...Lincoln Riley, Matt Rhule and Brian Kelly.
All three have been bandied about as possibilities for the LSU job.
At least two of the three are complete smoke.
By the way, Jimmy Sexton is the agent for Lane Kiffin and Dabo Swinney as well as Jimbo.
There has been very little smoke on Sexton's clients other than the Jimbo speculation which went away fairly quickly.
Just thought I'd put that on a post so everybody had that info at their fingertips.

Well 5 of the 7 people you listed have changed jobs in the past 3 years
And 2 of them left one major program for another so seems foolish to try to eliminate candidates based on their agents

Maybe that’s why Woodward isn’t saying anything. “Trace, use LSU to get a raise and a new job for your guys, then get me Rhule!”

The pattern of Woodward's hirings is such that we're almost certainly going to be dealing with Sexton or Armstrong.
That's who you deal with when you're paying coaches $8-10 million a year or more.
None of that is a guarantee, but one scenario to consider is that Woodward would be fine letting Armstrong use LSU to leverage a couple of his clients in return for getting a deal done with a third.
Christian McCaffery just got ruled out for the season at Carolina. That broke today. They're officially screwed and have little to nothing to play for. With an open date Sunday I can easily see the wheels turning over there for an interim coach and Rhule ejecting in time to make Justin Vincent's Wednesday press conference.
But if those wheels haven't turned by tomorrow mid-afternoon I'm going to say that theory won't work.

It does make sense. Working on a contract with guy A and guy B and C get rumored to that job from that agent who says, yes I am talking to Woodward. Also makes for a good smokescreen.

He wasn't, and then his agent died last year.
