Could be connection as to how some who used to have access now have access again
In case I am wrong, sexton might not work for CAA now. However, he did help found the football division of the talent agency.

From ESPN article from Dec 2015
quote:
Sexton is the co-head of the football division of Creative Artists Agency, which represents more than 100 professional players and more than 50 FBS coaches. He personally reps more than a dozen FBS coaches, including Alabama's Nick Saban, Auburn's Gus Malzahn, Florida State's Jimbo Fisher and UCLA's Jim Mora.

Sexton works closely with CAA agents Trace Armstrong -- who represents Ohio State's Urban Meyer, Notre Dame's Brian Kelly and Penn State's James Franklin -- and Walker Jones in managing the firm's college coaches. They oversee a handful of other junior agents and about 30 employees in offices in Atlanta, Memphis and Nashville.

what are you talking about

Not trying to be a dick, but why did this need a new thread? I thought it was discussed in several threads related to the UT board discussion someone linked.

Total guess on my part, but he might have a connection at CAA

I never read those threads

Yeah there was a big discussion about it because someone linked a post from a UT board saying they heard Herman was going to LSU, per Sexton, who is Herman's agent. That's when the Trace Armstrong and Sexton stuff started. For some reason though, admins deleted that thread the next day. Never knew why though.

Nick Saban
Jimbo Fisher
Urban Meyer
Kevin Sumlin
Jim Mora
James Franklin
Brian Kelly
Rex Ryan
Mike McCarthy

The only coach I see on that list as both a possibility and someone LSU would want is Jimbo. Maybe Kelly. Is there another more updated list out there?

I was typing out something to that effect when the thread got whacked.
For some reason, I trust your veracity over others- maybe I'm just a pessimist- but understand there are two sides to the coin (in relation to him disregarding any pro herman LSU post).
The reason I believe you more, however, is because connecting the dots you have some inside to Trace Armstrong or his affiliate group CAA (although I think he moved), or with Jimmy Sexton (based on your Saban comment in relation to info on LSU's side). I believe Sexton is part of CAA as well. Based on your confidence, it seems that you may even know Armstrong himself. Agents are definitely the best sources aside from the coach and his family.

the post said...

Herman to LSU.
So says a connected friend. Apparently, Sexton has been contacted and he's tried to steer Texas in a different direction. I am told Herman is "locked in" to LSU. Its a gentleman's agreement of course, but happened before LSU let Miles go. Texas is not giving up, but this is where its at.
Sexton is Herman's agent.
I truly hope this is wrong.
the HornSports post is here

He just said that he last had connections during the Saban coaching tenure and that he has connected information in regards to Tom Herman
I believe he made reference to Herman not coming to lsu
This thread is just an attempt to connect those dots
