I think Texas and Florida are in a tier unto themselves. Talent rich states, tons of money, great support, always on TV, etc...There really isn't a downside to either job.

It really aggravates me that bama fans believe there job is the absolute best in the country (even before $abun) and many LSU fans dont feel this way about LSU's HC job.

The frick is so funny? I'm looking at it strictly from a standpoint of where can I recruit the best players and give myself the best opportunity for success.
I don't give a frick how many championships Ohio State and Notre Dame won 50 years ago. They're not going to be able to consistently recruit the level of athletes as Florida, Texas or USC year in and year out in the current college football landscape.
There's a reason these three states have won something like 50% of the national championships iin the last 20 years.

A team would be able to win a Super Bowl with that roster. Also, keep in mind that Texas and Florida has to share their pool of talent with other top in-state schools as well as a lot of other major programs that scour the state for talent. Alabama and Auburn have most of that talent to themselves.

Sorry to be a homer here, but LSU is a top-tier job. Your FB record does not dictate your program level.
Facilities (TOP NOTCH), $$$(Have big boosters just like at other programs thus having one of the highest coaching payrolls), Fan Support (Tiger Rant does not equal LSU's fan support), and Recruiting Base (GREAT as long as you can lock down the state, and take a few from some surrounding states)

Texas and Florida have a lot of in-state competition and other top out of state programs are able to land top talent from those states. Auburn and Alabama pretty much have an oligopoly of talent to themselves.
