Tubs will never be the HC at LSU IMO. he might be lured by an associate HC role and tons of money that would throw our coaching salary structure out of wack.

LSU would Houston Nutt the program if they put TT as headcoach. TT would do good first couple years...then dwindle the program down because hes one of the laziest recruiters in CFB. Ole Piss is going to quickly go back to 5 win seasons real soon...then Nutt is going to bolt for another program and ruin that one. Lazy arse recruiters...

You will hear Tuberville mentioned. He's waiting for the right SEC job to come available, preferrably LSU.
There's really no incentive for him to come help Miles prolong agony. He'll sit back and watch. He will be considered for the job, and I'm not saying he's my first choice or that it will happen, but he has supporters in high places.

Nutt's days are numbered as well. I heard about 9 months ago that he and Boone were not on the same page, and both could be gone as they are tied together.
OM started bidding on players for the first time in many years like Massie and Patteron (five figures, don't recall the exact amounts offered) to compete in the West against bama. OM President Kayhat is no longer there I don't believe though, so who knows if one or both are still on the hot seat. Interestingly, there were no rumors of cheating under Nutt at Arky.
Tubs is a great coach but there's a lot of debate out there as to his recruiting misses the last two years or so. They took a lot of chances and ignored in state players that were "bought and paid for," according to Tubs. He told this to tons and tons of folks like Tom Luginbill; who knows what the truth is.
ETA to be honest, I think he was telling the truth in many instances that I heard about. 3....2....1 bama nation entering this thread

You have to be a good coach and recruit to be successful consistently at a major program in CFB...especially in the SEC.
Look at all the top tier coaches
Saban
Meyer
Carroll
They can all recruit as good as anyone...
Half the battle in CFB is recruiting...the other is coaching. This isn't the NFL where you replace superstars every 10 years...
Do not want TT anywhere near this program. He can take his "dream" job and shove up his arse.

I agree, but who would the HC really be? It would be TT and not Miles IMO.
If the money is out there to pay Tubs as DC from TAF then I can definitely see it happening as this could be his one chance to be the HC and move past old grudges on at least an interim basis should Miles be fired in season. He would need to have a provisional plan for a great staff to show to the LSU brass also.

Seriously though, I hope we don't have a really hard time getting a good DC. We need to go the more inexpensive route for 2010.
