I'm gonna sport that domination of Mr. Egghead as my new sig quote for a while.

I loathe Tuberville. But I like winning. If he'd be willing to do it, sure. He's a great coach, even if he is evil.

Tubby isn't going anywhere as a DC. He has said that numerous times.

That was before the LSU DC might be on the table.

How 'bout linebackers coach? Then Miles can hire Gruden as the defensive line coach and Cower as the secondary coach.

Tubby's been out of the game for a year and his phone ain't exactly lighting up right now. Things change. I think he'd be far more likely to take a co-ordinator position now than he would last year.
Really, his options look to be DC at a top 25 program or HC at a program looking to rebuild. He's not going to get the Florida job. Hell, his name didn't even come up in the Kansas search.
I think he's a fantastic coach and I'm surprised by the lack of demand for him. But if he's holding out for an HC gig, it might not even be in a BCS conference. I think he'd be a great fit at Maryland, though.

i think he's more apt to take a DC position for a year or two, build up a couple of fantastic defenses, which would lead the way to some HC offers.

we're so broke I may have to give mine up for a couple months after NSD. basically harv1790 asked if BP was the guy who said that GC would be gone and Kragthorpe would replace him. notmikes got up all in his grill and said nothing was ever said definite. bla bla bla...

tubs would probably still love to come to LSU even as a DC and assoc. HC. I could see it happening.
Posted on 12/28/09 at 11:56 am to STLSU
if he was thinking ahead, it would really be his only shot at ever getting this head coach job. I can't believe even the LSU admin would hire a guy fresh off a firing from AUburn.

We'll save a lot of money hiring a guy like Sunseri or Herring. Smart probably won't come here. He's probably not going to UGA to work for a lame duck coach either.
