all for not if the stormin mormon and stud's fatass aren't gone

Exactly, but Below Par's post gives me optimism that at least one of those guys will be gone. I would like to see both gone ASAP, but it's fine if they stay for the Bowl game like Mallveto.

sounds like our fat OL coach at a minimum is here to stay

It would be kind of strange for an OC to come and inherit the entire staff, right?
Below Par has enough credibility that I think there is a strong chance Crowton will be replaced, and I don't think Studrawa is the kind of guy that the new OC will have to keep. He certainly doesn't have the resume of someone like Chavis, Tolbert, or Cooper.

yeah, stud needs to GTFO. although, i place a lot of the blame on leslie for our piss poor oline

If you are going to be the worst coach on the team, you shouldn't be taunting Washington fans after a modestly impressive win

weird that it's going to end up a complete overhaul of the offensive staff. two were for 'off the field reasons' both good and bad but still...

Tykes a good addition to the staff. Glad to see him back in La.

The offensive line might not be Stud's fault. I read somewhere that Crowton changed the blocking schemes this year to zone and Stud wasn't happy about it, just another reason Crowton is probably gone, but I expect Stud to stay.
I think him and Miles have gotten really close, infact it wouldn't supprise me if he's the new offensive coordinator. He was in that position at the school he came from!!

We'd score 3 points a game, but definitely have a want to finish first so it'd be okay

Why is Tolbert such a good hire? Not saying he isn't just wondering

Charles Scott was running through gaping holes for most of last season, the run blocking was nothing like this year.
End of last year teams started loading the box and daring LSU to throw, and LSU was afraid to do so. But for 2/3 of the season CS had huge holes to run through...nothing like this year.

We gained yards last year because we had a fullback who helped disguise our weakness. You are seeing now what happens when the Mighty Quinn isn't there to bail out the run game. Without Quinn last year, our running game looks exactly the same. Even then, I hardly remember many "gaping holes" outside of Auburn and our OOC. I do remember Scott taking on blockers at the line and breaking tackles.
Let's not even go into pass blocking. As talented as last year's line was, they couldn't protect the QB. This year pass blocking was an oxymoron to our team.
Stud is the worst OLine coach in LSU's history.
As bad as Crowton was, we would have finished the season undefeated if we had only a slight improvement in the OL.

I like this hire along with Frank Wilson. Its just a hunch but I believe that the new OC has already been nailed down. Remember how things went down last year. Chief was hired and was a part of the hiring process for the rest of the defensive staff. I think when its all said done things will shakedown the same way.
