You realize the money made when LSU is rolling. Cannot be emphasized enough. Ask Alabama.

Fine by me.

He'll bring in that much addition revenue if he's as good as we think he'll be

Why pay that much money when Lane Kiffin could be hired for less than half that amount and is in fact, a better coach than either Riley or Fisher?

I know Kiffin has some baggage. As he didn't handle tough times very well when he was younger. However, that was year's ago when he was a young man. Since then he has spent 3 very successful years at Nick Saban's Coaching Rehabilitation Clinic in Alabama while also serving as Alabama' s OC and also leading Alabama's offense to a Natty in 2015. Before exiting the scene to finish another very successful head coaching run at Florida Atlantic. Which led to his much better gig at Ole Miss today.

Meanwhile, since taking over that train wreck at Ole Miss, all Lane Kiffin has done was morph that train wreck into a team that likely finishes 10 & 2 in 2021 and in less than two years.

Hence, should his transgressions, which mostly occurred in his youth, always be held against him forever? Hell no, Lane Kiffin is far too damn good of a coach for that to happen.

Not to mention that practically everybody makes stupid mistakes in life and usually in their youths. But people nonetheless learn from their stupid mistakes and go on with their lives. Lane Kiffin should be permitted to go on with his life as well.

In fact, the very same people that always continue forever to hold his past transgressions against him, are forgetting that they also made stupid transgressions too when they were young and dumb.

In any event, Lane Kiffin has won more games by a mile than both Dave Aranda and Mel Tucker combined, and unlike Napier, Kiffin has plenty of P5 head coaching experience.

Lane Kiffin is by far the most qualified coach to take over the LSU job and I believe the reason why he is almost never talked about is deliberate.

Why would four and five star defensive talent commit to LSU under Riley when Riley consistently has always produced nothing but piss poor defenses for his entire career?

Because this isn't true. You could make the case for kiffin > jimbo, but not Riley.

Kiffin hasn't had near the accomplishments and 5x the failures.

Yes. He's going up against better defensive talent though, and tasked with outscoring more talented offenses than in the Big 12. It's a step up in caliber of competition all around.

Happy either way. But I know with Riley we get the 5* QBs

Bull shite! Kiffin is not only a better offensive coach relative to Lincoln Riley but he also has more than proved he can coach in the SEC.

All Lincoln has proven is that he consistently has piss poor defenses in every year of his career so far and that he can deliberately run up the scores on the second-rate competition he faced in the second-rate Big 12 to pad the stats of his QBs so that they will win the Heisman.

However, in the SEC, Lincoln deliberately or not won't be able to run up the score on anyone and his days as being the QB whisperer will be over.

Meanwhile, in the SEC, Kiffin can coach circles around Lincoln, and he can do it for far less than half of what it would cost LSU to hire Lincoln Riley with his piss poor defenses.

It's easy to say that but it's not in the least true. In fact, it's not remotely true. As Kiffin was never handed the keys to a Ferrari by a predecessor the same way Riley was.

You're obviously one of those loons who want to hold Kiffin responsible for his youthful transgressions forever. While at the same time your own youthful transgressions have all been forgiven. In other words, you are one of the biggest hypocrites on the planet.

I don't know what you are smoking, but four and five star defensive talent at the sound of Lincoln Riley's name run for the hills. Indeed, they all know that Riley's teams have never once in his entire career been anything other than a major embarrassment on the defensive side of the ball for him. As no decent DCs will work for the that guy. As they all know they will be shortchanged, then eventually blamed, and fired as scapegoats.

Not my money. Don’t care. I’ll pay the same TAF donation I always have.

Now, if it were 12-15MM for Aranda or Napier or Campbell, I’d have to scratch my head a bit. Ultimately, LSU just reset the market. Look for guys like Day and Dabo to get big ole fat raises.
