Personally, I don't think anything happens tomorrow. It's just not Miles' style.
No, but the prob is other schools are making moves. Spurrier unloaded two of his coaches today. Tenn is building a new staff, etc.

Wonder what TCU could've done had they had our talent on defense?
Ask Patterson, not Bumpas. That TCU defense was solid before Bumpas got there and will continue to be solid if he leaves.
His tenure at Houston with our boy BDP was not that great. Why do we want a the University of Houston's leftovers? Do you not see the connection? Look at the University of Houston's stats between 1999 - 2002, because looking at TCU's defensive stats are misleading.

Friend, you know more about Bumpas than I do but why does Patterson keep him around if he's basically dead weight?

I agree completely. I think it'll happen soon, just not tomorrow.
I think Clemson, ironically enough, will keep most of its defensive staff. Both of Spurrier's replacements are on the offensive side. UT (and they are no longer a threat to take a DC) and UW are main competition for coaches right now. UT will be competition for DL and DB (O and Slade) coaches for sure. One of the coaches leaving, it's been known for a while so I'm sure some sort of initial search for a replacement has taken place.

The same reason Saban has a defensive coordinator or Meyer has an offensive coordinator or Spurrier
has an offensive coordinator.
Not saying he's dead weight. I'm saying he is not what we need, and I'm pointing out things that need to be pointed out. He's just a popular name on here and people are running with it instead of truly thinking about this. Which tenure would be a more accurate portrayal of his abilities: TCU or Houston? If he comes, what is the chance his boy and partner in crime BDP stays? And then what is the chance Mallory stays? Where is the change? The philosophies and teaching will basically stay the same. The respect factor also comes into play.
I want a mean, aggressive, in your face, knock you down, make you cry defense. The defense that we expect at LSU. How did Auburn beat Florida last year? Aggressive defense. How did Pitt beat West Virgina last year? Agressive defense.
ETA: look at our past two defensive coordinators. They were young, passionate, in your face guys. I may not have always agreed with Pelini's scheme, but the team played hard for him.

ETAA: Mallory and Peveto staying is fine with me as long as there is a scheme change. Bumpas (Chavis too for that matter) brings something that is too similar to what we already have.
Change has to be made somewhere.
