This is a good thing for LSU

Long term. The University has no visionaries at the moment, certainly no one like Emmert. That Joe hired O means his wagon is now hitched to O's. If O works out, meaning he exceeds Miles, we are good. If O doesn't, then we have the excuse we need to fire O, Alleva and clear out the athletic department.

Or we could have hired a homerun coach and never gave our ad a second thought

This thread is the ultimate cope

Doesn't seem like people care about losing 3-5 games a season

We could have, but Joe Alleva is a milquetoast motherfricker.

Yes. Yes it is.

The athletics administration truly needs a purge.

Already at acceptance huh? Good for you.

What are we supposed to do? It's probable that O will lose five games next year. And the year after that. I know he's a terrible coach. But if there is a silver lining, it is that when O is fired, Alleva will be fired too.

it's going to literally allow us to drain the swamp in 1-2 years

we've wasted enough seasons under Les ready to burn the mother fricker down....and here we are again.

We should have fired Alleva last year for lacking the balls to fire Miles. I despise that man so much.

Of course fans care. Whether you pout or not-- next season will happen. Could be 3-5 losses-- or could be 1-2 losses. I prefer to wait and see and not predict the worst-case scenario. As my then 2-year old said many moons ago--"You get what you get and you don't throw a fit." Some people on this board could learn a lot from a 2 year old.

It's almost time to bring Scott Woodward home...

Not a good thing. It's just a thing at this point. If we lose Aranda this is a disastrous thing. If we retain Aranda and have a homerun OC hire it MAY be a good thing. There are too many unknowns that wouldn't be major concerns if a top notch HC hire was made.

Herman should be fired around the same time so there's that

Which has to be a good thing. I seriously don't get what made Joe think O was a good idea.

O had been playing politics and using the media to create this aura of support
Alleva was way too much of a pussy to be bold, especially in light of whiffing on Jimbo again and throwing a temper tantrum b/c Herman wanted elite money. this was a way to try to be "Safe" in terms of PR
...or we can believe it was the greatest binder in the history of humanity
