And what does he have to show for it? A couple of no name bowls?

You know he hasn't actually hired him right? It's just a report. Could be true, could be false. Could be his agent trying to get more money out of ND.

The good news is that it shows that LSU is a step up from ND.

There's HUGE difference between not being good enough for you and saying that he sucks. He's also had recruiting limitations at ND because of their academics. He will have recruiting advantages at LSU and is a proven winner. He will instantly have a more talented rosters. He's not really my first choice either. But, the guy has proven that he can coach. I don't see why anyone wouldn't give him a chance to prove himself before freaking out.

It's like hiring a Les Miles.

I can't see him winning anything of significance in the SEC.

Because Miles never won anything of significance in the SEC. Watch ND play they are a very well coached team, that hasn't been said about a LSU team since Saban left.

Lol wut. They routinely play a tough schedule. In the past decade 1 BCSCG appearance, 2 CFP appearances. 2 wins over LSU in bowls. With way worse talent than he would have in BR

Brian Kelly is a great coach, it is just not his sexy hire. It doesn’t feel like the hire woodward promised but we could do much much worse than him.

Go look at Notre Dames season by season performance back to the 90s and you will be impressed. Not my number one choice at all or number two but I would support him

One of my best friends, her husband played at Notre Dame under Kelly and he has nothing but good things to say about him.

You will get DV but you're not wrong.

ND is 44-6 the past 4 seasons. The last thing you want to do is agree with the OP that they suck every year, that makes you look foolish.
