I'm calling BS on that. They sent feelers out, as soon as Miles was fired. Then O started winning the team looked twice as good on offense and this gave pause. It really didn't matter because the season wasn't over and nothing official would happen anyway. Then the lost to UF and they really started talks with Herman and Jimbo. That fell through O beat the breaks off of aTm. And then Texas happened, it's all about timing and cricumastance. If UT wins one more game Herman is ours.

Sorry Delly, but that is simply bs. We know they were in negotiations with Jimbo prior to TAM, and perhaps as early as last year.
And Les regularly beat Fla and TAM, so I'm not buying that as a metric to hire O.

He won five of seven games. His team scored 10 points combined in the two losses.

Just FYI, this is absolutely true. I don't have a "source," I have a close friend on the BoS who told me this on the field in the first quarter of the UF game. Was a done deal before that and was originally set to be announced last Wednesday if UF was a win.

Alleva sets the tone for the entire athletic department: mediocrity. Les was mediocre, our basketball program is a fricking joke, our baseball is coasting on its brand alone but is at least competitive. Now he drops this turd on the football program with a disclaimer of "but he had a big binder and stuff and said he'd poach an OC from our division rival!"
We need to send that fricking buffoon back to Duke and hire an AD with a complete set of fricking testicles.
