A quick guide to south Lousiana that explains

'Y'all' is the preferred reference to a group of people.
I would tell him that a sentence that starts and ends in a pronoun is still a sentence, me.
'Down da bayou' is a compass direction that just means you have to drive a little longer to get there.
'Da front' means near the highway or bayou, and 'da back' means toward the swamp or marsh.
