This. It will be infuriating, but about the only thing I can do about it is stop donating to TAF. If Fisher tried to screw us, then I'm glad we walked away. I know that losing out on Herman might not be directly Alleva's fault, but he if mishandled what was to be his defining hire, LSU needs to can his arse.

I'm right there with you.
But I won't stop watching and supporting the program.
Bunch of pussies in here acting like hillary supporters that may not get their way

Be disappointed but will be happy for him and hope he makes the most of his opportunity.

Support the Tigers. Not in favor of hiring O but I support the Tigers.

Not renewing season tickets. Start to Prepare for dark times. Laugh a little. Convince myself that LSU football shouldn't be such an important part of my life

Not opposed to a few dark years if it means a lot of fans like you will give up their tickets just in time for me to swoop in and buy them.

Check out. Just will accept that Louisiana is Louisiana and nothing will ever change.
Saban set the tide for change but a decade later it could not be maintained.
Good ole boy politics and simple minded fools still outnumber rationale, calculated people. Until that changes, nothing changes. That goes for sports, business, politics, you name it.
LA is just a backwards state that takes pride in being backward.

1. Stop my TAF donation and lower my LSU donation. Let money talk and not let politics and shitty sales tatics drive decisions. I don't want O as the most public face of the institution, sports or not.
2. Lower my expectations, and probably be less excited about LSU football. It's just tough to do when Yaw Yaw is in charge.
3. Lose faith in Alleva, the BoS and Boosters. I'd certainly be on the Fire Alleva train.
O is a massive failure of a hire. There is a 0 percent chance that he improves the program, and a very large chance that we see a major regression. When making decisions like this, two big factors are the possible successes and the possible failings. Every hire is a risk. The problem, the floor with O is lower than nearly every single coach we could possibly land, while his ceiling, is probably nowhere hear as high.
I think the most likely scenario with O over the next 3 years is 4-6 losses per year every year. If people are ok with that, then so be it. I guess that's what LSU wants. The floor for O.... 0-8 in SEC play. He has done this before. It can happen again.
Let's all say this together - There is a O percent chance of ever hearing O's name with the likes of Saban, Meyer, Harbaugh, Fisher, Herman, etc. as a "great coach." This will never happen, and the fact that we would settle for O would be absolutely infuriating.

I will be reminded of when I used to play Sid Meier's Civilization and the scroll across the screen ...

Be in the stands next season, like always. Coaches come and go.

But yeah. The ironic part is that there is no more backward place than Alabama, but they seem to have at least 3 or 4 people in authority who can make sober, intelligent hires.

This.
All of this.
I couldn't even imagine the Governor of another state getting involved with a schools football coach
