Not 3 weeks before the end of the season they don't.

They do when the team has nothing to play for anymore.

Because he could just wait a little while longer and take the Bama job once Saban steps down.

Freeze will never coach in the SEC again.

He would already be in orange and blue if Cohen wasn't the AD. Still might happen but someone has to get them in a room and hash that out.

Cohen would rather take a shot a Lane first.

Auburn is not going to hire freeze, Lane Kiffin, or prime time. It will be someone not mention right now

Anything he thinks he can do at Auburn he can already do (and is doing) at Ole Miss.

It’s been proven that you can win national titles at Auburn. Ole Miss can’t even win the SEC West

Because the only thing that Auburn has over Ole Miss is a better shot at winning a title and he might think he can change that at Ole Miss and close that gap. And with a 12-team playoff incoming, he probably thinks he has a great shot at making that most years at Ole Miss.

Ole Miss will pay him just as much, they have great in state talent themselves, they aren't second fiddle in their state, there is FAR less pressure and FAR more job security, and Oxford > Auburn.

I wouldn't even consider it. I'd leave Ole Miss for a top job only, like a Florida, Bama, OSU, USC (lol), LSU, UGA, etc. Auburn isn't in that tier.

Everyone outside of the Auburn-Opelika area knows this. They just don't want to admit it.

I think Auburn and Ole Miss are about as equal a job as possible. Why start something again when he has it started rolling there already?

It’s not an equal job in any world.. you’re lsu guy of course you want him to stay at ole miss, not nearly the threat he’d be at Auburn

Maybe because the last time Ole Miss won anything, man had not even walked on the moon?

So you are 15th and we are 20th. Not worth the jump and 3 year rebuild. Just the facts man.
