Saban and Texas have not been linked much this time and I think it seems a bit strange. If they wanted him 3 years ago why wouldn't they at least ask him again? It's eerily quiet.
Some say because of his age, but Saban has at least another 5 years in him, maybe more. That would mean a championship or two for Texas, probably.

Also, Texas is capable of making Saban the highesst paid coach over Harbaugh, which Sexton will surely point out is just and deserved.

No shite there is no place Saban will worshipped like in gumpland. I don't see how she or anyone else could say that with a straight face. At LSU he would never be worshipped like you guys do; completely different culture. He won't be at UT either to many other things going on like life in general.

I would love if Texas got Saban and Alabama got Les Miles. I know, it's just a dream.

Penn state is the only college close to the Bama level of cultish worship.

I wish Texas would go after Saban just to force Bama to pay him more, if nothin else

I can't believe LSU didn't make a public offer right after firing Les. You know Sexton would play along. I'd love to see the gumps bleed green.

LSU isn't the one to do it. LSU can't match Bama and it wouldn't be taken seriously. But UT...UT would have to be taken seriously. Why wouldn't UT make a big offer?

If Texas is serious and they have all this money everyone talks about...

It'd be stupid on their part NOT to back up the bank truck and throw a stupid amount of money Sabans way. Even if it's short term. He would turn that shite around and set them up for the next coach . Play it like a chess match.

Look how he set LSU up after he left.

They'd honestly be stupid as frick not to at least try everything for him.

The west side of Austin out in the hills south of the lake is a heulluva a lot better place to live than Gumpville. UT has more money than anyone and would give Saban total control. Not saying it would happen or that anyone is even talking about it, but its not absurd to think the school with the most $$$ would go after the best possible coach. Make him say no - at least you tried.

When you've got an ego like his, the arse-kissing you get is like a drug.

He may be looking for a new high. At $10 million per.
