You're telling me you wouldn't even give the greatest football coach of all time a call while he has "retired" to a job that has him traveling the country still anyway?

You missed a question.

Why is this a "fantasy land" thought?

I agree. Some people need to do some research on ChatGPT on Nick and Skips relationship and how much Saban learned from Skip about what he has learned about being an AD.

You mean the shitshow that doesn't have an AD or head coach and how he wouldn't have to come in a fire anyone to get what he wants. It's like he has a blank canvas waiting for him.

I said it last year that the RPO was ill suited for Nussmeier because he's not a runner

another football ignorant dumbass who thinks a RPO is a ZONE READ.

see my post above and educate yourself man.

when we run RPO nuss running is not an option. we are not running denbrocks horizontal RPO with a 3rd option that being to run.

we run basic vertical RPO with NUSS where him running is NOT an option once he reads the box. he either decides to hand off or throw based on the read.

Saban wants to still influence football and this would be a way to do it. Not sitting on a set holding Pat McAfees chair as he plays up to a crowd.

I think there's something to the idea of Saban wanting to influence college football, but it's ALL college football, not specifically LSU. He ain't answering to a school admin and boosters again.

I agree! I post here for fun and outside of a small handful no one on this site knows anything about what is going on. Here what I do know, in most cases ADs are hired before coaches. So for them to say they are focusing on hiring a coach first lends me to think they may have a real good idea of who the AD will be and it's not some dude from Georgia or McNeese because there wouldn't be anything stopping them from hiring him now and then letting him do his job. Not to say that ultimately the AD won't come from one of those schools it's just that in my opinion the optics do not at all look like that. Having the BOS do all the leg work is not normal. So, why is in happening. Something is different.

As clear as chocolate milk.

Please... everyone needs to stop with anything related to saban coming back to LSU. If he comes back, it's for Game Day or to visit an intern from the past.

Sorry you wanna bring up the difference between zone reads vs RPO

I'm still right in my assessment of both Saban as AD and Nussmeier involved with running the ball whether it is Zone Read or RPO ......or because things break down and now there is an "oh shite" moment.

I'm maybe wrong in what I call the offensive regime, But at least I'm not residing in fantasy land about convincing myself that Saban is going to do anything other than GameDay, Aflac, Home Depot commercials and the VRBO thing and then probably travel with his wife going forward.

Who would be OC? While we are building our dream coaching staff. I’d love this.

You do realize the BOS are all appointed by the governor?

And that the head coach of LSU is the highest paid state employee?

BK received $400,000 annually from the state of LA as part of his contract.

To have influence over a conference or football in general you have to be a part of it. Sitting on college gameday for 3 hours on Saturday gives you a very small window to do it. Being the AD at a university is a way to influence a conference.

Moron, if Landry hadn't intervened in anything, LSU would still have Tate as President, Brian Kelly as head coach, and Scott Woodward as AD. And you'd be crying about that.

So, which would you rather? God, some of ya'll have brains the size of peas.

It’s probably going to be Brooks from UGA. Which would be a great hire as well.

A moron is a guy who advocates for the governor to intervene in matters of college fricking football. You don’t see how this negatively affects the perception of the job and how things are run at LSU? Clearly you are the lowest common denominator dipshit that Landry appeals to.

LSU fans are delusional with the Saban fantasy. He's not leaving his happy retirement for the train wreck in Baton Rouge.
