It's not the Duke Lacrosse deal. It's the constant PR blunders that he keeps allowing LSU to make. Not to mention he has made some pretty awful hires since he's been here.

If Alleva hires Orgeron he should be fired before he steps off the podium. He won't be, but he should. His job depends on this hire. If he hires Orgeron we will be looking for a new AD and a new head coach within 3 years.

You said PR blunders and coaching hires. I just asked for examples.

Oh wow, let's see. The Miles debacle is 100% his fault last year for letting it leak if he either didn't have his candidate already lined up, or he didn't have the support to fire him. LSU took a major PR hit for that and that falls on Alleva.

The Ben Simmons debacle was handled disgustingly and is a major PR hit for LSU. Not to mention one of his big 3 sports just declined to play in the post season.

Coaching hires:
1. Trent Johnson
2. Nikki Caldwell and her ridiculous salary
3. Patrick Murphy (technically a bad hire and an embarrassing PR blunder)
4. Johnny Jones

Coach O can be the General But, we need a Solid Offensive minded at OC.

Because you're unhappy with the choice...so you don't sound like you're giving O a chance at all.

Oh yea, how about the John Chavis situation? That looked great for LSU athletics as well.

If the next coach doesn't win, he's gone.

This isn't about Orgeron man. I hope he wins a NC if he's hired. It's about Alleva and the perception of the LSU program that he has allowed to grow.

It looks to me like you are mostly upset that Miles was let go and are piling on. Every college basketball team in the country wanted Simmons. It didn't work out for LSU but I'm struggling to see how the AD is at fault except tangentially as the man who hired the basketball coach. Speaking of that, let's face it on Jones - Dale Brown and his people, for better or worse, still have a lot of influence over the basketball team. I don't even know Murphy so it can't be that big of deal except to people who hate Alleva.

If O gets the job we all lost. It's just that simple.

Chavis? LSU has Aranda and Chavis just gave up 50 plus to an offense that he likely knows better than any other offense in the NCAA.

Lol, I think Miles should have been fired long ago. Or at least made to fire Cameron. Regardless of who is at fault for all these individual items, Alleva is responsible for the reputation of the program. It has not been good for a few years.

Yes, in hind sight it's not a big loss to lose chavis. But at the time, losing LSU's best asst coach to a division rival was a really bad look.

You shouldn't base your decisions based upon what you see and hear on TV or what you read on the internet. If Alleva was not doing a decent job at LSU, he wouldn't still have the job. End of story.
