Once again, you guys have had a great decade, but to discredit our tradition is blashphemy.

quote:

LSU's tradition started in 2001, before that you guys were a laughing stock. Historically Tennessee has always been in the mix for SEC/national titles.

Tennessee is a top ten, NFL producing machine.

Lesson of the story is that Tennessee is just as good as a coaching job as LSU.

LSU didn't offer $900,000 for a recruiting coordinator and D-Line coach for God's sake

Jimmy Hyams, or whole bunch a LSU fans on their message board....?

Tough one, but I'll go with the former

I'll take belowpar over Tennessee Hyams without question

This is absolutely absurd just in the fact that O wanted to stay in LA and if offered that much, he would definitely be at LSU. Unbelievable

Sure he did.

My sources in Knoxville say Mike Hamilton got Orgeron's wife a job as a hostess at one of the Waffle Houses on Kingston Pike and she will get Saturday's in the fall off. That's what swung the deal.

Orgeron went to Destin, Florida, for a few days and told each program he would make a decision by January 1st.

When Lane Kiffin felt he was losing the battle, Lane and his father, Monte Kiffin, UT’s newly hired defensive coordinator, flew to Destin and knocked on Orgeron’s condo door.
bitches.

at least miles has the respect to leave Ed alone to make a decision on his own.

If this is the case then Kiffin either lied to hire O or he's a fricking moron.

From the "ABOUT US" section of the MR SEC Website:

Jimmy Hyams

The Ace SEC Reporter
(oooh!!!)
and backbone of our operation, Jimmy has been covering the SEC as a beatwriter and a radio talk show host for more than a quarter-century
(because he is unqualified to do anything else).
His connections across the Southeast are unmatched. Most importantly, he happens to bear a strong resemblance to a circa-1960s Glen Campbell,
(ok - this actually does make me want to believe his article)
which gives the rest of us endless amusement. At any rate, he is a writer for this website… and he drives the main road, lookin’ in the sun for another overload. Ha, never gets old.
(WTF?)

Oh, and he lives in TN

Did you really think you could come here and boast about Orgeron and people here would just lay down and take it?
Hope you can win at least 5 games next year and i hope Kiffin is half the coach you think he is.
Now go back to coddling your sister or whatever it is you hillbillies do there.

At that LSU won three bowls in our "laughing stock" decade.

Tennessee has only won two in the 2000's, at best you can tie us.

Here's the real story. Les Miles hired a look alike to coach the bowl game while he flew to coach O's home and offered him the head coach position, his kidneys (that's right both of them), liver, spleen, his first born, and the state of Alaska (Les Miles acquired the latter in a poker game from Sarah Palin)
