In our current situation, why would we even get rid of Cameron. What OC wants to come and have their career bungled? We have two more years of Miles. Who knows, maybe we'll get another '07 or '11 type heart attack ride.
I don't really think Cameron is the problem. Les philosophy has destroyed the confidence of many a young QB. But, they do seem to get better, though it seems only incrementally.

Wouldn't termination trigger a buyout regardless? Or possibly part of being on the highest paid staff is there is no buyout upon termination in exchange for a higher salary up front?

Assistant buyouts often terminate or go down if the head coach is fired, where they would get their full amount if they were just let go. Chavis wanted a guaranteed buyout, which some top level coordinators get. Alleva didn't want to give it, which points forward to what just went down these last two weeks.

It will evolve by him hiring another OC where there will be a promise to change. And all we will hear about in the spring is how great the offense looks and then we will see the same ol'shite starting game 1

Pretty much.
And on top of it, The Les Miles Clause, preventing any established OC to want to make the move.
