...Would be one of the most depressing days of Nick Saban's life.

This is NOT a criticism of Alabama in any way. It is a reflection of the psychology of Nick Saban. When he signs, and ponders the REALITY that-THIS IS IT-a little part of him will die.

Nick Saban-The Lion In Winter.
NOT a role he was born to play.

He has every LOGICAL reason to stay.
He has every PSYCHOLOGICAL reason to start anew.

*Flame away.

I love when the exwives club psychoanalyzes Saban.

Why so defensive Brosef? I said not a negative word about Alabama, and even used the word logical when referring to why he would stay at Alabama.

I mean, really, from what you know about Saban, what part of him relishes the status quo?
Go ahead.
Provide better analysis, Trey.

bullshite! Let's say for argument's sake, I'm Nick Saban. I've won several SEC championships, and even more national championships, somehow. I am known throughout the land as the greatest coach to have ever lived (according to every news agency on Earth). Why then, would I want to stay in the SEC? WHY would I make it harder on myself to do what I love to do (win it all). Maybe I should go to a major program that can pay me more, where I have better recruits to pick from, AND I don't have to fistfight Auburn, LSU, TAMU, Georgia, and USC every year to get into a national championship game.

I agree, there are great players already in place at Alabama. But at the end of the day, it's still Alabama that you have to live in. Who would voluntarily move to Livingston Parish, a show of hands? That's right, no one.

No, to someone who wants to win, you go to the place that gives you the best chance. And that is not the SEC, when (and only when) you are given the daily media BJs he's given, and are the crowned king of the NCAA, you will be able to get in easier from the outside. You go to one of the most talent-laden states, and let the kids play at home.

Honestly though, I hope he stays. It makes the SEC stronger, and the rivalry that much better. If he does go, the caveat for me will be Landon Collin's face, and just knowing that both his GF and coach both left him at Bama. So I guess either way, I'm good to go.

Where in the world is Livingston Parish, and what does it have to do with living in Alabama and coaching Alabama football?

I suggest you reflect on the psychology of the guy in the mirror. I would bet that you don't even know Nick Saban.

The meth capitol of LA. DWI rates there are higher than the literacy rate. Most residents have more children than teeth. Anyway, it reminds me fondly of Alabama.
