You are now in the key part of recruiting and you don't have a coach. That ca be overcome in this era.

However, now that there is no more Spring Portal window, there is only one. January 2-16.

The playoffs start on December 19 and lasts until January 19.

If we are pursuing a HC in the CFBP, then he will be playing either really close to the window or in it.

That guy is going to be way behind the 8 ball year one (but that can be overcome very quickly).

It does make me wonder if they try to identify great potential candidates that AREN'T in the CFP to get ahead of it

LSU is not going to hire a coach who is in the CFP.

I don't see them going into signing day without a head coach.

I think you can make it work, if you hold over a few staff members (frank, Raymond, Baker?) & your “front office”. There are so many personnel & recruiting guys to support the effort.

The new coach, of course, would have to be aligned with that. Naming a coach before then is going to be important for 2026.
