If this hire is true, I think Mitch did good on this one. He COULD NOT take Petrino, he is toxic.

I was talking inside conference. I think ut will make hire, then Arky, AU, and there will be a surprise need I think. I believe UT has their guy already. They're just being sneaky and waiting.

Curry had no success here, one bowl in seven seasons. Claiborne took over a dumpster fire, and had a couple of respectable seasons including our last nine win season. He had some modest success.
I think UK needs to find a way to get back to the 2007/2008 levels to be considered successful, win seven or eight games, including at least a 3 or 4 win SEC schedule. That really should not be asking too much.

MacIntyre also recruited Patrick Willis to Ole Miss and at a few different stops had some highly ranked defenses (including Duke and Ole Miss).
The more I learn about the guy the more I like him.

I dropped his name for Cal job when it opened, but thought he was going to SEC. I really like the hire. He will make them very competitive. That's where UK needs to be, just hop Cal doesn't pull a Roy Williams. I don't think Cal is as dumb as Roy though.

They beat BYU 20-14....Hardly beating the shite out of them. Also lets just look at the schedule:
They lost to Utah State by 22 and Stanford by 3.
They beat:UC Davis(4-7), Colorado State(4-8), San Diego State(9-3), Navy(7-4), UTSA(8-4)at least 4 of those are FCS teams, Texas St(3-8), Idaho(1-11), New Mexico State(1-10), BYU(7-5) and La Tech(9-3).
I just think people are drinking the Kool-Aid here. I'm not saying he can't win here, but this is far from a slam dunk.

We shall see. I sure hope so.
ETA:Another concern. UK is ranked last in the SEC in recruiting for 13 with 855 points. SJSU is 3rd in WAC with less than 300 points.
