The better LSU plays, the more attractive this job becomes

While most think that running off a win streak would increase the likelihood of Coach O holding onto the job (and it would), I also believe that the more our younger talent shows out like Guice did tonight, other top coaches will look a little bit closer at LSU and the $6 million they may offer the next coach.

It really is a fine line. I'm kind of conflicted. Coach O isn't my choice or on my list, but you don't want to root against them either, and if he pulls off a SEC West title or close to it, it is going to be real hard for the administration to be calm and logical about it, and if we don't hire O he will probably bolt, which also sucks.
As always, just pray whatever shakes out just works, even if it is what we didn't want.

If he pulls off an SEC West title?
Seriously?

Seriously?

No, I'm not serious. Relax.
The only way Coach O is getting this job is winning the West or getting close to doing it. I have to state those results, even if I think they aren't going to happen.

I would absolutely agree with this.

I think it helps a little bit, but it is pretty obvious we're loaded with talent that has been used poorly. This isn't a tear down and rebuild situation, and everybody knows it.

Alabama: The Real DBU, WRU and RBU of the SEC
Seriously?
Bama is a well coached team but wake the frick up! "The Real DBU, WRU and RBU of the SEC" is LSU. LSU talent has not been developed to show this. Even in terrible games, all but the LSU WRU has failed.

I like your enthusiasm.. Coach O already rubbing off on you I see.

Oh, I was rubbing something watching that offense tonight.

quote:Completely agree. It will show more and more how Miles was the problem and not the players or program. It will also show the reason the higher ups got rid of Miles right now and not at the end of the season. They wanted to win as many games as possible this season and they felt like their best chance to do that was getting rid of Miles. Can we blame a school for trying to win as many games as possible? Are we suppose to give up on a year?

Actually yes, seriously...the problem is not the talent, LSU has equal talent as Bama if you care to admit it or not, the difference has been how they have been managed and anyone with an ounce of football knowledge knows this...

I don't care if he makes it to the playoffs. If herman wants in we take him

If we make it to the playoffs we would have to pretty much run the table. If that happens....frick Herman. We have a coach.

I agree. There have to be a few guys on the list that we would take regardless of how LSU finishes this season. I want LSU to keep winning and make this job ultra-attractive to the very top coaches in the country.
