Sure looks like they're getting Huizenga'd, if you ask me.

Sooner mods seem like special folk

TigerTub just told everyone to stop being pussies and he's still rolling with Riley.
Paraphrasing but basically yeah.

This whole thing has a very Herman/Mulkey feel to it. Just remains to be seen whether we get the Herman result or the Mulkey result.

Someone with better internet skills can probably find the many instances of factual evidence that OUs 247 mods, in particular Drumm, are extremely good sunshine pumpers and that base eats it up even with the numerous cases of proven failure. The Jacob Phillips recruitment shed all the light that needed to be shone. In that case those mods had to have known Phillips was flipping as everyone else did. Yet they still continued to beat the "Drumm" that it was in no way possible. Up the last few hours when it became undeniable. They are a joke.
That said, our insiders have a strong case of "getting played-itis" as well. We are notoriously behind bad news. The last to know continuously. Almost in exactly the way the OU mods are portraying events now. Wouldn't celebrate until he's announced. Be excited but cautious.

That said, Riley is still pretty pleased with the program he has built in five years in Norman
Riley didn't build anything. Bob Stoops did. Bob Stoops, the coach with actual SEC experience.

In summary, Riley knows OU can not win a championship without investment and boosters know it as well so they are happy with making the CFP and being embarrassed every year. I call BS on this, if that were the case Riley will bolt for any job in the SEC who has the resources in place to win a championship. That eliminates UF since they are lagging in facilities.
Riley in the lead for LSU HBC.

This is why Riley wanted out of OU. Their own arrogance is their undoing. They're in for a rude awakening in the SEC if they think they can keep an arrogant attitude and not compete in market values for coaches even if it causes inflation. You have to commit resources to facilities, assistants, NIL, recruiting budgets, etc.
They don't seem to get it and hiring constant up and coming assistants isn't going to sustain you success even if they're cheaper. They have the money they better start spending it or they'll never get anywhere in this conference. They'll learn quick and that conservative attitude will change. This will be their first lesson. Time to put the big boy pants on.
OU's problem is their AD, boosters, and jilted conservative attitude. Now you see why Riley wanted out. He knows he can't win enough there while LSU will promise him the world. He probably will have a blueprint for LSU for NIL/facilities and they'll let him do what he wants. He'll hire who he wants and money will not be a problem as LSU assistants are already highest paid in NCAA I think.

Joey commented on my first post about a source he spoke with that said Riley isn’t going to LSU at this time.

Really looks like they’re slowly transitioning their stance so they dont look completely out of the loop if the news breaks

Use context clues. Google “Caleb Williams”.
Thank you for answering. When reading this I automatically assumed it to be a booster. My bad.

To what Deuce said, I know for a fact that Riley was unhappy with booster involvement with the program and particularly Spencer Rattler situation, as i heard it from people in Austin from Norman, Oklahoma weeks ago. One who knew nothing about LSU offer etc. One was a former okie state player but both had heard numerous concerns from their Oklahoma friends and neighbors that Riley wasn’t happy and that something was up.
That board don’t say shite about that. They are like all the team boards in SEC before the rant. You aren’t allowed to say anything bad or critical or break bad news about their team. That’s how this site got huge by speaking the truth. THEY WILL NEVER CONFIRM THIS until it’s on ESPN and probably deny it then. They aren’t reliable sources for anything. Texas and Oklahoma State fans sites would be better even the aggies. AGAIN, they will deny this when the moving trucks show up, then trash him afterwards. They are living 20 years in the past.
