It’s probably better to not do the reunion thing. It usually doesn’t work out. I would have still been tempted if he had been let go, though.

Not surprised by this at all. I didn’t think Baylor would pull the trigger that early. And I figured there was no way he comes back to LSU as DC.

AD went to the boosters to ask if they would pony up buyout and they said no. Dave admitted this week he screwed up in regards to NIL. They are going to get rid of Grimes and promote their QB coach to OC more than likely.

He has a pretty large buyout for a program like Baylor. His contract runs through 2029. Would cost them 25-30 million to buyout the entire staff. They get another year at least.

I don't exactly follow Baylor's recruiting but if that comment about the freshman is correct then that flies in the face of the reputation he has as a recruiter

Likely to see a new OC and DC.

I don't think the buyout was preventing us from moving on given buyouts usually aren't paid in a lump sum. I just don't think the AD is willing to admit he got this wrong and there is no pressure from the Baylor administration/Board of Regents.

It’ll be funny to see how many LSU fans automatically assume this means House is staying and we should melt.

I think the tweet has a built in excuse for Aranda. NIL program about to step up at Baylor.
