It doesn't matter if strong wins out. Texas is working behind the scenes to get Herman as their next head coach. Their gameplan is to get Herman, but if they miss, retain Strong. Obviously they are not going to make a public spectacle out of it and will do things behind closed doors.

LSU is in the best position to land him unless they think Jimbo is their guy. Now that boosters have jumped off the Coach O train, hopefully they stop sleeping on herman. Maybe the Bama game will make them realize that they need to go in that direction.

I really don't think Texas is going to fire Strong this year anymore. While their defense still isn't good, they have shown improvement since Strong took over that side of the ball. Also the defense is mostly sophomores. The offense has improved drastically this season for them. This is only Strong's third season in a complete rebuild with a very young team that really is showing improvement.

It would be a mistake to fire Strong this season and I just don't think they are going to anymore.

But yet, some random person who posts on a LSU message board knows this.

Texas has been slightly improving since Cholly took over the defense. I think they finish 7-5 and he gets one more year.

You really think if Strong doesn't lose a single game the rest of the way and wins convincingly against WVU and TCU that they fire him??? You're crazy, man. That would be such a PR nightmare even UT wouldn't want any part of it.

If Texas fires Strong after 8-4 or even 7-5, that won't look good for them. Coaching fraternity doesn't like when they see you do one of them wrong. What does that tell other coaches, that they won't get time to rebuild for the next hot coaching name?

Any coach dumb enough to go to that dumpster fire is going to get what he deserves.

It's going to make Texas look really bad if they give Charlie the boot while he's trying to rebuild there. Coaches won't be beating down the door to go to an administration like that. I think Texas may realize this and will keep Strong for at least another year. Just my guess.

like LSU did with Fisher last year. and we were called all kinds of names when it didn't work.

i'm pretty sure you made up your entire post. not only is it a fabrication it's a poor fabrication. in other words, you are wishing it but have no clue as to the accuracy of anything.

go vote for trump; he deserves you.

sorry grandpa, but if you think texas is going to pass on herman, especially if they drop 1 or 2 more games, you are mistaken

I see UT winning 2/3. I think they will lose to either WVU or TCU.

How would you eve know? LOL You're literally making shite up. STOPPP. Stop making things up. If you have a RELIABLE source, by all means, say so, otherwise, STFU, please, no offense. I hate when people just say shite because it "sounds right" in their heads.

LSU fans are in denial, sadly. One more loss for the 'Horns
and Strong is done.
