Yeah, that's a boring arse list of candidates that should really get the Texan fans pumped up.

Wade should be in the NFL HOF one day as all-time best interim coach.

Darrel Bevell would be my first choice if I were them.

I like Del Rio okay, but as a failure as Jags coach, I can't see him welcomed in Houston. I would rather see them go young energetic guy over retread.

Del Rio is terrible. He brings nothing. He is the definition of Meh. I swear people only mention the dudes name because he looks like he could still play.

Agree 100%
Philips- Have you seen Houston's D lately? Terrible. The Texans want nothing to do with current coaches.
Shanahan- Too stupid to even bench his QB (Griffin) when he is playing like shite (kind of sounds like Kubiak's problem!
Smith- Simply not the man to turn this franchise around (he would be interviewed for nothing more than the obvious reason- some dumb rule passed by the league).

There a billion reasons why hed be a terrible hire. This is not one of them, he is in no position to bench Griffin even if he wanted to

He'd be a much better hire than Wade Phillips.

Bump for new roto blurb

quote:

Lovie Smith is expected to be the first candidate interviewed for the Texans head coaching vacancy. The Texans are looking for someone with head-coaching experience as they seek Gary Kubiak's replacement. Their current shortlist includes Smith, Stanford coach David Shaw and Chargers OC Ken Whisenhunt. Per the Houston Chronicle, the Texans will not try to hire ESPN's Jon Gruden or soon-to-be-fired Redskins coach Mike Shanahan. Houston could also show interest in Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin, who is a Purdue product just like GM Rick Smith.

I hope it's Wisenhunt. The Cardinals were retarded to let him go.

The front office didn't give that guy a chance by not signing or drafting QB's worth a frick.
